Typical process
Tool sets with damaged packaging
Fully functional tool sets in damaged boxes: a typical B-stock lot, described with photos and a unit count.
A typical process for orientation, not a customer project. Quantities, condition and timing differ from lot to lot.
Starting point
A tool wholesaler has sets that work perfectly, but the outer cartons are dented, torn or scuffed. In regular retail these sets cannot be sold as new, so they sit in the warehouse. The contents are intact.
A typical lot
- Tool sets with dented or scuffed cartons
- Complete contents, fully functional
- Sets of different sizes and makes
- B-stock in unit quantities on pallets

How the process runs
- 01
Enquiry with photos of the damage
The wholesaler states the sets and the number of units and sends photos of typical damage, along with one photo of the intact contents.
- 02
Valuation and offer
A non-binding valuation follows within 24 hours. As this is a B-stock lot with packaging damage, the photos carry a lot of weight. The result is agreed in writing.
- 03
Payment after invoice
Payment is made by bank transfer within 48 hours of invoicing.
- 04
Collection
The pallets are collected within 3 working days of the agreement, with transport included.
What matters
- Make clear that only the packaging is damaged and the sets work as intended.
- Photograph typical damage, not just the best examples.
- State the number of units per pallet.
- If some sets are damaged beyond the packaging, separate them and flag them.
Questions about this scenario
No. B-stock with packaging damage is one of the cases we buy. Show the damage in photos so that the valuation is realistic.
Mention them separately. We clarify completely defective goods case by case.
